Job Overview: Sanford Federal is looking for Health Care Technician to support the mission of the Pittsburg VA Healthcare System. Job Details: Job Title: Healthcare Technician HCT Location : VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System (VAPHCS) UD Division, University Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15240 Schedule: Full-time or Part-time. 12-hour shifts. Requirements & Skills: Must Be a certified nursing assistant or possess comparable certification in a related healthcare field including medical assistant, paramedic, or emergency medical technician. Have documented training and skills verification. Must Be trained and experienced in patient care. Experience in Phlebotomy preferred Must Have at least one year of experience working in direct patient care; ambulatory or emergency care preferred. Must have and maintain a current Basic Life Support Certification. Candidate must provide a detailed resume that clearly outlines past experience including the years and settings where said experience was acquired. Tasks, Duties & Responsibilities: keepingng patient rooms clean and organized. Monitoring patient health and measuring vital signs. Maintaining accurate patient records. Assisting the healthcare team with administering treatments. Collecting liquid samples or specimens for testing. Performing basic nursing procedures such as administering medications. Reporting any changes in patients' conditions to a registered nurse or physician. Providing emotional support and assisting patients with basic needs such as dietary intake, grooming, and personal hygiene. Maintaining close communication with the patient's healthcare team.
