(BMA) Integrating People and Process Through Service, with a strategic emphasis on integrating people and process, and proven, documented project management methodology for internal and external management while maintaining a strategic and financial focus on an organizations most important component it's people ; "Love Thy Customer; Love Thy Work; Love Thy System" Business Management Associates (BMA) is seeking a Personnel Payroll Processing Specialist who has experience of higher coding and processing personnel and payroll actions using a front-end system such as PeopleSoft and finalizing processing in the National Finance Center (NFC). RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES: Serves as expert resources and authority on coding and processing personnel and payroll actions using CHRISHR and NFC. Investigate, troubleshoot, and respond to a variety of recurring and complex inquiries regarding payroll and personnel matters. Process complex HCUP packages in NFC on corrections needed for data in the personnel system (i.e., FERCCA). Code, review, and process all personnel and payroll actions using the appropriate Federal and Corporation policy guidance. Ensure timeliness, accuracy, quality control, and follow-up procedures while verifying entries of data into personnel systems. Establish internal controls to ensure compliance for audit purposes. Run reports from NFC/CHRIS and review for reconciliation of errors each day/pay period (SINQ reports). Enter manual payment, payroll discrepancies, and bills into SPPS and track the disbursement. Review NFC screens to ensure manual payments, corrections and disbursements are made timely. Quality control reviews to check the accuracy of payroll data entered in all payroll systems (i.e., final lump sum payments (annual/restored, comp and credit hours), biweekly comp and credit hours, canceled payments, restored leave payments, annual annuity adjustments, etc.) Serves as the quality control reviewer for all work performed by the HR Assistant. Provide tracking status reports each pay period on actions, errors, and any outstanding issues or problems that need to be resolved with the payroll/personnel. Additional duties may not be limited to what is listed QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS : Knowledge of Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), PeopleSoft, National Finance Center (NFC), EPIC Ability to process HCUPs and corrections needed within the system Experience processing and fixing SINQ errors Knowledge of federal Human Resources, and payroll processing and applying the principles from the Guide to Personnel Actions and other federal and agency policies and guidelines.
