Job Description Job Title : Full Stack Engineer Summary : Seeking a full stack developer responsible for developing front-end and back-end systems from the ground up in hybrid environment consisting of external and internal development team s . The developer will serve as a liaison with an external development team to guide architecture and development decisions. The developer will be responsible for accepting code developed by the external development team and supporting that code in the production environment. Wage Type : Salaried Essential Duties & Responsibilities: T o perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the essential duties satisfactorily. Work with internal & external development teams and product managers to ideate software solutions Take technical ownership of features and advance product functionality Create high - level and detail design specification that will enable, help troubleshooting day to day build activities Provide guidance and technical direction to the external software development team Oversee and support the product environment with code from the external software development team Design client-side and server-side architecture Write effective APIs Test software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade software Create security and data protection settings Build features and applications with a mobile responsive design Write technical documentation Work with data scientists and analysts to improve software Modify functionality to meet changing business needs and legislative requirements Become the Subject Matter Expert (SME) of the company's major applications Display ability to deliver with minimal direction (and sometimes ambiguous requirements) while asking questions when needed to remain efficient Mentor junior engineers and provide constructive code reviews Advocate and improve on code quality, automated tests, CI/CD initiatives, and the developer experience O ther duties as assigned. Organization al Structure : Reports to : Head of Engineering/Chief Architect Provides g uidance to outsourced development team and junior engineers Required Knowledge/Skills 5+ years of professional software engineering experience in a full stack environment role Extensive knowledge and understanding of JavaScript. Deep knowledge of multiple back-end languages ( e.g., C#, Java, Python) and JavaScript frameworks ( e.g., Angular, React, Node.js) Knowledge of multiple front-end languages and libraries ( e.g., HTML/ CSS, XML, jQuery) Familiarity with multiple databases ( e.g., MySQL, Postgres, NoSQL databases, etc. ), web servers ( e.g., Apache) Excellent skills in writing clean, modular, readable, and testable code Experience building Microservices Proficient with CI/CD practices and production deployment Familiarity with common stacks Experience developing in a cloud environment (Azure / AWS ) Experience with Container (Docker) and Container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes Desired Experiences : Background or familiarity with financial /banking systems and the associated regulatory requirements Familiarity with basic web application security concepts Experience with container ( Docker ) , container orchestration ( Kubernetes ) , and Azure cloud services Experience with Apache Kafka and Kafka Streams Experience building API s (REST and SOAP) and associated best practices Experience with auth0 or similar identity management systems Ability to explain technical solutions to both engineering and non-technical stakeholders. Education: BS in computer science, engineering, or an equivalent field/experience Continuing post-secondary education in technical fields a bonus (e.g., certifications, online courses, etc.) Talent : Must be a self-starter and self-motivated individual that is goal oriented, organized, and analytical and can bring a positive impact to our organization. Energetic, resourceful, and appropriate work intensity to get the work done Strong people acumen and relationship skills; Naturally pre-disposed to quickly establish positive personal and professional relationship Carries out responsibilities in a manner consistent with our values and operating principles, in accordance with policy and applicable laws, and with a commitment to continuous improvement and process excellence. Other : Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form. Must be able to lift to 20 pounds.
