Adjunct Instructor Healthcare Informatics (2 Positions Available)

Primary Functions: . The Instructor must be able to teach an effective class using a mixture of lecture, video, and other tools to make the class an interesting, engaging, and fun environment for the students. Other duties will include assigning and grading of homework, tests, projects, reporting student learning outcomes and anything else required during the semester. Other Key Responsibilities: Check Trocaire email daily Completion of all requested reports and grade submissions Completion and submission of the class evaluation at the end of the semester Being available to your students throughout the semester both by phone and email Attending meetings as required by the program director Minimum Qualifications: Master's Degree in Healthcare Informatics, Health Information Technology, Nursing, Business, Analytics, or closely related field with 2-3 years of experience in a healthcare related setting, in a healthcare informatics related role. OR Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Informatics, Health Information Technology, Business, Analytics, Nursing, or closely related field with 3-5 years of experience in a healthcare related setting, in a healthcare informatics related role. Must possess strong analytical skills Must be detail-oriented and have strong communication skills Familiarity with HIPAA rules and regulations preferred Experience using a learning management system (Moodle, Blackboard, Angel, etc.) preferred Certificate or masters level coursework in healthcare informatics highly preferred Job Specific Competencies : Instructional skills and knowledge in discipline Curriculum development skills Ability to assess course outcomes and student learning Gives honest and helpful feedback, supports the success of others Advising Facilitation Outcomes measurement Record Keeping Basic competency in the use of Microsoft Word, Power Point and other Microsoft Office products Essential Job Functions : Job functions include, but are not limited to: Ability to interact effectively with a diverse population Communication - Conveys information in a clear manner; ensures that others understand, Asks for input, listens actively and makes sure others' opinions are heard Instruction Curriculum and Course development Assess and report student learning outcomes Position Specifications and Working Conditions General classroom and office environment Work is indoors Uses computers and other technology for the preparation and teaching of classes as well as for communication May sit or stand for extended periods Job Posted by ApplicantPro
