Receptionists are our company's first official representative. The receptionist job description includes a variety of assignments and duties, however the greatest role is to courteously and efficiently meet and welcome clients and general members of the public, whether in person or on the phone. Receptionists initiate patient files and collect and organize other files and records asneeded.Duties and Responsbilities: Greet clients in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner Answer multi-line phone system and directing the calls accordingly Admit clients, including entering information on new patients Obtain medical and other information from referring vets Schedule and confirm appointments Check patients in the hospital according to schedule and prepare patient files Page overhead to notify appropriate departments that patients have arrived Scan or otherwise record medical records Make sure the lobby and reception areas are organized and neat, including stocking and cleaning the beverage areas for clients Fax, file, and distribute faxes and other documents Obtain deposits and other payments from clients Check out Client Check front-desk email and forward as needed Performs other duties as assigned Familiarity With Veterinary environment, terminology, and protocols Working in a team environment Proficiency In Customer Service Handling multiple tasks and priorities Multi-line telephone systems Organization skills Attention to detail Verbal and written communication skills Education High School diploma or equivalent VETERINARY EXPERIENCE IS PREFERED0
