Contract Overview This requirement is to provide Information Technology services and support for enhancement, maintenance and security of the Cyber CoE G6's Network, Enterprise Level Solutions, and IT Services from the Unclassified to Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) classifications. The G6 will work to design, maintain, and secure IT solutions for the Cyber CoE. Position General Responsibilities Serve as an Information Assurance Technician (IAT) level II IAW DoD 8570.01-M or current regulation https://ia.signal.army.mil/docs/857001m.pdf ). Serve as a virtualization administrator specializing in VMware virtualization technology or future virtualization technologies. Install, configure and manage virtualization environments. Install, configure and manage Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI). Install, configure and manage physical and virtual routers, switches, Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS), Power Distribution Units (PDUs), servers, etc. Performs a variety of tasks to include identifying servers to be virtualized, creating test environments, validation, converting servers, and maintaining virtual infrastructure. Continue to improve the virtual classroom course design to meet instructor and student needs. Analyzes systems requirements in response to customer requirements, risks, and costs by working directly with management and system administrators. Evaluates new systems information technologies and their effect on the environment. Ensures that cyber security and OPSEC policies, principles, and practices are an integral element of the operating environment. Integrates hardware and software components within the systems environment. Continually monitors and fine-tunes performance of the Information Systems. Conducts analyses of network usage, user complaints, traffic interruptions, hardware and software capabilities, and other relevant factors. Identifies adverse trends, ineffective practices or procedures, equipment shortcomings, etc. Apply Information Technology (IT) expertise, including feasibility studies, technical evaluation, justification, acquisition/procurement, installation, implementation, management, and administration of IT systems. Creates, updates and follows SOPs and other documentation (ex. Change and configuration management). Keep up-to-date on IT news regarding networks and security. Serve as Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM)/ Information Assurance Manager (IAM). Position Qualifications A minimum of three (3) years' experience VMWare Virtualization administration experience including vSphere, VCenter, vMotion, Horizon View, McAfee MOVE and vRealize. Strong understanding of virtualization, Software Defined Networking, Software Defined Storage, local area networking, Telecom, VoIP, LANs, switching, servers, messaging, unified communications, etc. Ability to communicate with virtualization architects about the virtual environment. Ability to use infrastructure monitoring technologies (ex. Splunk, SolarWinds, Nagios). Proficiency in NIST SP 800 series, Army IT and IA Regulations (ex. 25-1 and 25-2), DoD Cyber Security Regulations, OWASP, FedRamp and Cloud Security Alliance framework. Ability to create system documentation such as System Security Plans, Standard Operating procedures, etc. Understanding of datacenter networking fabric topologies and common architectures deployed both Layer 2 and Layer 3 based. Understanding of user experience best practices, information architecture, and interaction/visual design. This position is designated as Information Assurance Workforce (IAWF). Information Assurance Technical Level II (IAT II). See sections 1.6.7.5 and 1.6.7.6, Information Assurance Workforce, in this PWS for detailed Army and DoD guidance and requirements. Required for the IAWP: Baseline certification: must already possess and maintain Security+ CompTIA commercial certification (or higher, such as CISSP, etc.). Computing environment (CE) certification: must already possess and maintain CE certifications, currently: Windows Certification: Configuring Windows Server 2012 and Windows 10 Configuration, Active Directory (070-640), Configuring Windows Server 2012 Network Infrastructure (070-642), and Windows Server 2012, Server Administrator (070-646), Windows 10 Configuration (070-680). Virtualization Certifications from VMWare. Be monitored in the Army Training and Certification Tracking System (ATCTS). Successfully complete Information Assurance Fundamentals on line course and exam at: https://ia.signal.army.mil/IAF/default.asp . Complete Privileged Level Access Agreement (PLAA) annually. Must possess and maintain a Top Secret security clearance with SCI for the life of the contract.
