Position Summary: We are seeking a Process Engineering Intern who possesses a blend of technical and hands-on experience in a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment. As a Process Engineering Intern, you will be responsible for working closely with the Engineering Supervisor and assisting in developing manufacturing processes which improve the production efficiency, reduce quality issues, and increase workplace safety. Overall Responsibilities: Assist in analyzing manufacturing data. Support improving the effectiveness of current manufacturing processes. Support improving the efficiency and quality of manufactured parts. Develop manufacturing fixtures and manufacturing work instructions. Assist in evaluating, resolving, and auditing quality issues. Apply principles of Lean Manufacturing to reduce waste. Support continuous improvement projects throughout the company. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Excellent analytical, written, verbal communication, and hands-on skills. Proficient in Computer Aided Design software such as SolidWorks or Creo. Able to follow directions and learn-on-the-fly. Able to work with others across multiple departments. Education & Training/Experience: Currently working towards a Bachelor of Science in Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent. Previous internship and/or project experience is a plus.
