JOB SUMMARY WPACES is seeking an experienced and high-energy Licensed Practical Nurse to join our professional community. Considering the necessity of health professionals with integrity and an understanding of the current climate around health and safety, this professional should execute all responsibilities in accordance with CDC COVID-19 guidelines and work with the school nurse. WPACES offers a collaborative approach to care for our students, and prioritize the safety and wellbeing of all members in our community. This position is temporary to permanent. Job Responsibilities Supports the school nurse with maintaining CDC compliance standards with school Administration. Performs COVID-19 screenings and tests for both students and staff. Coordinates and performs regular dental, hearing, and vision screenings and takes vital signs (temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration). Follow-up with parents to retrieve and maintain comprehensive health records for students, including the collection of student immunization records and emergency contact forms. Treat minor health issues that occur daily with K- 5 students. Dispense students' prescribed medications. Demonstrates ethical behavior in all aspects of student health and professionalism. Maintains confidentiality regarding school/workplace matters. JOB REQUIREMENTS LPN licensed in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania 2 or more years experience in the nursing field (preferably in a school setting) Must have, or the ability to obtain all clearances (FBI, PA State, & Child Abuse) Job type Temporary to permanent
