Sunshine Starts is the place for you! Our enrollment is growing and we are hiring Teachers for all age ranges, Infants, Toddlers, and Preschool . We're looking for teachers who are passionate about our mission and teaching philosophy. If you're friendly, nurturing, engaging, professional and have a strong work ethic - then we're looking for you!Sunshine Starts is a premier day care located in the heart of Yorktown Heights- right in the Triangle Shopping Center. We are a NYS licensed day care that provides care for children ages 8 weeks to 5 years old. We also provide before and after school care for our community. We offer: Competitive salary based on education and experience ($17.00-$20.00 per hour) Up to $1,000 signing bonus Healthcare coverage 401(k) and retirement plan Paid vacation time Paid holidays Paid sick time Paid personal time Employee Referral Program and bonus compensation As a classroom Teacher you will: Lead the classroom in planned curriculum/daily activities Engage children in activities and play that stimulates their development Supervise children while keeping them safe at all times Engage with parents to discuss their child(ren) Help to effectively manage the classroom Record each child's daily activities Create and maintaining an environment that is clean, organized, and safe for all children Required Qualifications/Criteria Minimum of one year of experience as a daycare center teacher Meet NYS OCFS teacher requirements: CDA, Bachelors degree with relevant coursework, or plan of study Friendly, nurturing, engaging and professional demeanor Strong work ethic Have dependable transportation Be punctual Be mentally and physically capable of caring for a large group of children Be able to kneel, bend, squat, lift, push, pull, and carry children as required Job Posted by ApplicantPro
