Haltom City has a unique opportunity for a junior or senior college student to work as an intern in Human Resources and various departments within the City. The working assignment will change as projects are completed and/or needs change. The candidate selected for this position will gain a broad understanding of local government while working on special projects within the assigned department. Maximum 20 hours per week with some flexibility in work hours. Examples of Duties: Conduct independent research on assigned projects. Gather and organize information into logical manner and present to appropriate staff. Read and comprehend rules, regulations and written instructions and apply instructions to data. Review assigned project and organize into manageable pieces. Document processes used in project completion. Compiles and analyzes statistical data; prepares and maintains a variety of monthly and quarterly human resources reports. Conducts research and responds to a variety of inquiries from employees and retirees. Performs other duties as assigned or required. Typical Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent, and a minimum of two years of college. Advanced computer skills required.
