Headquartered in Lexington, MA CAMX Power LLC is a technology development company operating as two divisions focused on electrochemical and electromechanical applications CAMX Power develops cutting-edge materials for next generation batteries. Using CAMX Powers patented GEMX technology we have successfully commercialized cathode materials for next generation Li-ion batteries. Our development programs are interdisciplinary in nature, comprises of highly motivated personnel with diverse backgrounds to assist in our battery research and development work. In addition to core battery related expertise such as electrochemistry, electrochemical engineering, materials science, inorganic synthesis, solid state physics, organic/polymer chemistry, we also have staff with expertise in chemical reactor engineering, electronics, and electrical engineering, mechanical/thermal Job Description: As a member CAMX Power's Materials Implementation team, the scientist will perform synthesis of battery precursor materials, analyzing the data, presenting the results to the team, and maintaining the laboratories and associated equipment. Responsibilities: Synthesizing battery precursor materials. Analyze data, and reporting conclusions to the team. With time, the analyst will be expected to take on complete responsibility for planning and executing the experiments. The analyst will also be responsible for general laboratory maintenance and upkeep of equipment. Qualifications Strong background in general chemistry, inorganic chemistry, and good laboratory practices. Experience with solution synthesis of materials is a plus as is experience with analytical tools such as X-ray diffraction, ICP, and SEM. Computer programing, especially database management is desirable. Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills to function effectively as part of our team Must be self-motivated, able to learn quickly, and willing to take the initiative to get things done. Education: BS in Chemistry or Materials Science. Concentration in inorganic chemistry is a plus but not required. Required Years of experience: 2+ year of laboratory experience.
