Our Owego, NY facility is hiring for Material Handler / General Laborer. If you previously worked as a warehouse worker or any entry level general labor position before, you'll be a great fit for this role. These positions are full time opportunities working for a world class hardwood lumber manufacturer. Why join us as a Material Handler? Material Handler Details Identify the sort for the carts you are responsible for. Placing finished products into the correct carts according to the width & Length of the pieces. Place each piece with the following criteria: Top, bottom and outside pieces will be the longest All edges will be free of knots, wane, and other defects Bundle must be square with edge boards against the pipes of the cart Build each bundle until full and finish off with a nice top layer Push out finished bundle for forklift to remove Material Handler Qualifications Be 18 years of age or older Detail oriented Able to lift 50+ lbs continuously Self-motivated, organized and able to multi-task Great attitude Standing for long periods of time, bending and stooping Nice to Have Skills Previous experience as a warehouse worker preferred Basic math skills (add/subtract/multiply/divide, read a measuring tape, calipers, digital indicators) High School degree preferred, but not required ***Please refer to the "Full Job Description" button at https://wagner.workbrightats.com/jobs/ to review our physical demands form prior to applying to this position.***
