Description:

Part time evening and weekend RN to float to sites as assigned. Lifetime Assistance Registered Nurses (RN) are responsible for administering medications as assigned, perform medical administration observations as assigned, completes and documents assessments as needed during shifts, provides training to Direct Support Staff as needed and as requested, assists with care as needed while on shift, serves as a positive role model for DSPs and people supported, interacts with respect, and adheres to all Agency and Program policies and procedures. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Current New York State unencumbered Registered Nursing License. Previous experience working with persons with developmental disabilities preferred. May be required to meet Lifetime Assistance's Vehicle Operators' Requirements. COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret policies, procedures, clinical plans, life plans, and regulations. Ability to write reports, clinical notes, clinical plans and protocols in an easy to comprehend format. Ability to effectively communicate and present information including responding to questions from people supported, their families, staff, and other service providers. REASONING ABILITY: Ability to define problems, collect information, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret extensive instructions and deal with a variety of complicated options. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
