We are looking for a motivated Senior Project Engineer, who enjoys leading others and applying engineering principles in diverse projects, to join our team in our Rochelle, Illinois, office. We are interested in civil engineers who have experience in and a preference for transportation, private development, stormwater or hydraulic modeling. We are interested in talented, trustworthy and skilled people who are passionate about providing personalized attention to our clients. What you'll do You will make decisions independently on engineering problems and methods and plan and coordinate work. You will apply standard engineering practices and techniques, adjust and correlate data, recognize discrepancies and follow standard procedures on all types of projects. You will build relationships with clients and prospective clients and work effectively under pressure to meet tight deadlines. You will oversee diverse professionals, assign tasks and responsibilities, and give clear instructions. You will be their coach and mentor. W e promote a team environment, so you'll work with fellow engineers, environmental scientists and many more people. And you'll develop leadership skills that build autonomy. What it takes We're looking for someone with a bachelor's or master's degree in Civil Engineering. If you have six or more years of experience in civil design and project management, preferably at a professional consulting firm, then we're interested. You should be a licensed professional engineer. You should speak and write well. And you should have strong analytical and organizational skills. You must be a team player.
