About the Role: Performs standard accounting functions for multiple companies and customers Duties/ Responsibilities Gathers and analyzes information from the general ledger system and other sources Analyzes information and options by developing spreadsheet reports and verifying data Prepares general ledger entries by maintaining records and files, and reconciling accounts Analyze expense variances from month to month with detailed explanations. Develops and implements accounting procedures by analyzing current procedures and recommending quality, productivity, process, efficiency and other improvements Provides reliable answers to accounting and financial questions by researching, interpreting, and communicating data Maintain and file sales and use return filings. Reconcile bank statements Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential Supports Accounting and Organizational strategic goals, planning and initiatives Being a strong right hand to the Staff Accountant II to offload various tasks Be a self starter and the ability to troubleshoot Other duties as assigned or prudent Education and/or Experience: Bachelors' degree in Accounting, Finance or related business field At least 3 - 5 years of experience in accounting Strong knowledge of GAAP and legal requirements of accounting and finance Vista Viewpoint experience a plus Paperless (PVault) experience a plus Must possess good interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills Experience in Construction Industry preferred Company Benefits: Company-paid insurance (health, vision, dental, short-term and long-term disability, and life insurance are provided) Zero deductibles 100% 401k match (up to 5% of salary) Paid holiday & vacation time Educational assistance Various discount programs Utilitra is committed to building and sustaining an equitable and inclusive work environment where diversity is expected and valued.
