Responsibilities: Set up, start up, disassemble, reassemble and operate wrapper during productionLoad, thread, and splice film into machine as requiredAdjust film tension as needed to improve performanceVerify that the correct film is installed and used based on the product specifications.Change film as needed.Verify speed and temperature settings on line.Ensures that product specifications are being achievedVerify the look of the packaging and integrity of seal.Check weight on packaging.Test metal detector as required by paperwork and document your results.If metal detector does not function properly during test, notify Production Lead and troubleshoot issueimmediately.Maintain production on the line, troubleshoot and correct issues on the line as quickly as possible tomaintain production.Continuously inspect wrapper for issues with line, safety concerns, mechanical issues and notifies supervisorif there is a problemAble to work extended hours, available for overtime and weekend work as required.Knowledge of SQF, GMP's, SOP's, and HACCP, and other food process sanitation requirements.Report any/all food safety or food quality issues immediately to supervision or QA.Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor. Education and/or Work Experience Requirements: Ability to read, write, and intermediate mathematical skills are requiredMust be willing to work weekends and overtime when neededComputer skills ability to learn and interact with HMI PLCs to properly setup wrappers for productionrequirements.Moderate mechanical aptitude is needed Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift and carry up to 75 lbs.Complies with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's) and all other food safety requirementsComplies with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE's) requirementsReports any food safety problems or potentially unsafe practices/conditions to QA and supervisorConstant walking and standing on hard concrete serviceFrequent bending, stooping, squatting, pushing, lifting and climbingPosition will require working in very hot conditionsOther conditions include flour dust, wet floors, occasional smoke and fumes if product burns*This position is responsible for ensuring that food safety is not compromised while meeting the requirements ofthe SQF Food Safety Code for Manufacturing and are responsible to report food safety problems to personnelwith authority to initiate action.0
