A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A ROOFING JOB SUPERINTENDENT As a Roofing Job Superintendent, you are the face of our company to many of our customers since you are the one that is consistently on-site during the project. With your friendly demeanor and positive attitude, you build a good rapport with customers easily. You provide direct oversight to your construction crew to ensure that quality standards are met. You are a can-do, get-it-done person who loves working in the great outdoors and takes responsibility for each job. You help your crew prevent delays and stay within budget, always staying one step ahead of Mother Nature. You document progress with a digital camera and download on a daily basis. Making material and dump truck runs as needed, you keep the job-site organized and well maintained. You confer with inspectors to solve issues. You maintain accurate records and receipts of supplies or materials purchased and promptly deliver to the Field Coordinator. You get a great deal of satisfaction out of putting a solid roof over the heads of our customers and helping our business thrive! Using your excellent coaching and mentoring skills, you motivate your crew to do a great job. They are in good hands--as you not only teach them well but are very attentive to safety and knowledgeable about OSHA requirements. Thanks to your good management and attention to detail, re-roof, new construction, or roof repair projects are always successful. QUALIFICATIONS FOR A ROOFING JOB SUPERINTENDENT At least 3 years of experience as a roofer Good reading and writing skills A valid driver's license and a clean driving record Ability to work outside in all kinds of weather Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs occasionally, climb ladders, and work from heights Leadership skills Are you a team player with good problem-solving skills? Do you have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to remain calm in emotionally-charged situations? Are you appreciative of feedback and always looking for ways to improve?Do you love the feeling of providing great value to homeowners that they will be pleased with for years to come?
