Job Summary: Assist in the design, assembly and testing of X-ray components. This individual will work under the direction of a R&D Engineer in the development of new products. Essential Functions: Assist in the design, development and build of new product. Operate test equipment and perform experiments as directed by engineer. Document tests and write test reports. Assist with training and writing operating procedures for transfer to production. Use of basic shop and hand tools needed in order to build, maintain, and modify equipment, tools and fixtures; including but not limited to soldering, band saws, drills, wrenches, drivers, etc. Other duties as assigned Education and Experience: Two or more years of technical experience. Or student/degree in one of the following fields: Physics, Mechanical Engineering, and Electrical Engineering. Experience with measurement tools. Experience in a manufacturing environment Experience in clean room environment Knowledge of High Voltage and High Vacuum equipment and/or processes (preferred). Competencies: To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies to perform the essential functions of this position. Basic Operation of a PC, including MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook) Analytical and troubleshooting skills. Ability to work independently as well as work with others.
