Come join Bridgeway...make a difference in someone's life! The School Based Therapist will provide mental health counseling services using a variety of therapeutic modalities. The position will be located within the school system. Students will be identified by school personnel or by School Based Therapist with services developed from person-centered assessment and treatment planning. This position will collaborate with school, agency and community personnel to ensure appropriate goals and objectives. To learn more about this position, please read the summarized list of duties below. Will follow the direction of Bridgeway Director of Crisis and SASS Serivces as well as designated school principal. Provide therapy/counseling services for Bridgeway/school consumers including induvial, family and group services consistent with individualized consumer center plan based on assessment information d medical necessity. Ensure internal and/or external linkage are made for the consumer when necessary, providing follow up and continuity of care planning as authorized by the consumer. Collects and maintains a variety of data in order to analyze in determining success of services and progress of school-based services. Provides consultation and education to Bridgeway Staff, school personnel and members of the surrounding comminutes to promote a better understanding and acceptance of mental illness and the concept of recovery. Masters Degree/Graduate degree in counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or related field and prior internship in counseling is preferred. LCPC or LCSW licensure in the state of Illinois is also preferred. Must also have reliable transportation. Employment with Bridgeway is conditional upon completion of all background checks.
