Do you have an interest in providing excellent customer service and education to Zoo guests? Apply online today for the Animal Encounter Ambassador position at Peoria Zoo. Pay Rate: $13.00 per hour.We are one park district, one community. Greeting Zoo guests in an inviting manner. Preparing and selling appropriate animal food items according to directions. Observing animal/guest interactions and taking the necessary steps to stop and/or correct problems. Handling cash and cash transactions reliably. Checking messages and work schedule at start of shift. Keeping all assigned areas and work spaces clean and "visitor friendly". Preparing assigned areas before public arrives. Cleaning assigned area at the end of business day to established standards. Staying current on Zoo events and information to share with guests and to be able to answer questions.
