JOB SUMMARY The Network Administrator will ensure the stable operation of the in-house computer network and implement and/or facilitate the initiatives of the Chief of Information Technology. DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES Plan, develop, install, configure, maintain, support, and optimize all network hardware, software and communication links Recommend, schedule, and perform network improvements, upgrades and repairs Develop, implement, and maintain the policies and procedures for network resource administration and disaster recovery Manage security solutions, including firewall, and intrusion detection systems Interact and negotiate with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to secure network products and services Manage and/or provide guidance to junior members of the team Implement other job duties as directed Work with contractors to install network drops MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma Strong written and oral communication skills Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Associate's or Bachelor's degree in computer science Certification in CCIE (Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert) or CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional) Certification in CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) Job Posted by ApplicantPro
