Description:
Scheduler/Project Analyst Position: 1 Location: Wilson/Raleigh, NC Primary Functions: Develop CPM schedules for DB and DBB project pursuits. Maintain CPM schedules for project management and progress billings. Participate in bid development for major projects. Efficiency studies of field operations. Review electronic timesheets including labor hours, equipment hours, and production quantities along with foreman daily logs and generate daily cost reports for management. Contribute to improving, automating, or streamlining job costing, accounting, and reporting procedures. Review unit cost information and monitor job progress to identify potential areas for improvement. Participate in and contribute to the cost-to-complete process and related reporting pertaining to job costing requirements. Review jobs to make sure all projects close out procedures have occurred prior to removing a job from the work in process schedule. Act as a liaison between IT, accounting, preconstruction, and field operations. Must have regular and predictable attendance. Education: Civil Engineering or construction management degree. Required Work Experience: CPM schedule development and maintenance experience in P6 and Project. Highway/Heavy project management on NCDOT and other public projects. HCSS HeavyBid and HeavyJob utilization. Understanding of all Heavy/Highway disciplines plans and specifications. Physical Demands: Light physical effort required including pulling and lifting or moving light weight material with occasional lifting or moving materials or equipment (over 5 and up to 25 pounds). Physical Activity: Position is normally very good working conditions such as an office environment but may require infrequent work around any or all of the following: noise, dust, heat, cold, oil and heavy equipment. Personal protective equipment may be required. Position requires ability to exchange ideas quickly and clearly and the ability to receive and evaluate detailed information and instructions.
