The Sportsplex is looking to expand our Personal Training department! We are looking for goal oriented, and super energetic motivators to join our team. If you enjoy working out and seeing others meet their goals, this job might just be your perfect match!! Personal Trainers must possess the self-discipline to maintain their own schedule and hustle! Salary is commission based. PURPOSE OF THE POSITION The Trainer is member service oriented and provides Group X education to members on the proper diet, exercise and strength training technique of equipment. Personal trainers provide education in a one-on-one setting. RESPONSIBILITIES Educates members on equipment use Provides specialized Group X training Ensures that members receive the best service by giving them a full workout Provides assistance and information to member when requested Answers telephone calls promptly and courteously Attends and participate in team meetings and trainings as directed Advises members on proper diet to meet goals when requested Helps members to establish realistic goals and develop a plan to meet those goals at member's request Other Performance Expectations: Addresses member's concerns in a timely manner Maintain a professional demeanor at all times with members and gym staff Perform other duties as assigned Knowledge Gym office functions Member registration Computer knowledge (programs Word and Excel) HIPAA rules and regulations Skills Exceptional customer service skills Effective verbal, written, and listening communications skills Very effective organizational skills Computer skills including Microsoft Office Applications, including Excel at a highly proficient level Stress & time management skills Problem solving skills & detail oriented Confidentiality Ability to establish and maintain a cooperative working relationship with co-workers Personal Attributes Be honest and trustworthy Be respectful Possess cultural awareness and sensitivity Be flexible Demonstrate sound work ethics All offers of employment are contingent on passing a criminal background check.
