ESSENTIAL DUITES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: In the role, you will get to: Work with an inspiring team Perform initial and ongoing assessments of community health needs Work with the Anderson County Health Council and other health coalitions to develop resources and strategies to meet assessed health needs Utilize knowledge and training to implement evidenced based health education and programs in creative ways to reach target populations in the community Assist with the design and delivery of relevant in-service training programs for health department employees. Teachers, and other professionals Provide community health related activities offsite WE ARE LOOKING FOR PEOPLE WHO: Self-motivated and eager to learn Can communicate verbal and written information and ideas Can listen to and understand information and ideas Are willing to respond to public health Emergencies Are willing to promote and support vaccinations Are willing to promote and support Family Planning Are willing to promote and support breastfeeding Comfortable speaking and providing education in groups EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE (Minimum Qualifications): Graduation from and accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree in public health, health education, biology, or related field and Experience equivalent to one year of full-time health education work One year of additional qualifying graduate course work in public health, health education, biology, or related field may substitute for the required one year of experience Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license OTHER: Employment will be contingent on a background check NECCESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS Possession of a valid Tennessee Driver's License (Class D) and the ability to be insured at standard vehicle liability rates.
