The Role The manufacturing engineer's responsibilities include identifying areas for improvement, maintaining high levels of manufacturing and product quality, designing new products and processes, as well as ensuring cost-efficiency and conformance with regulatory standards. This person will partner with production managers to determine what their current processes consist of and will collaborate with them to make adjustments accordingly. This role will perform risk assessments to determine what kind of improvements could be made to keep the facility running smoothly and efficiently. To be successful as a manufacturing engineer you should be able to work effectively within a team and have a high level of technical expertise. An outstanding manufacturing engineer should be able to develop and optimize manufacturing processes for maximum efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and quality. Manufacturing Engineers are also responsible for reviewing safety and quality standards to ensure the facility is properly meeting these guidelines. They'll use these guidelines to design and test their own process upgrades and new systems to see if they meet quality standards and regulations. Manufacturing Engineers will then update Production Managers of any changes by providing them with operating instructions and process documents with instructions and details listed. The successful candidate will be able to improve industrial processes in order to maintain efficiency, reduce cost, improve sustainability and maximize profitability. What You Will Do Aid in resolving issues with ECLF processes and equipment as needed Oversee daily logs/records Prepare weekly status reports as needed Maintain a clean and safe working environment Set up machines (calibration, cleaning etc.) to start a production order Become familiar with the operation of machines Be aware of issues that might occur during the shift Follow all safety rules, assure others follow safety rules and correct or report any safety issues immediately Become knowledgeable with all testing equipment Evaluating existing manufacturing processes and identifying areas for improvement. Determining problem resolutions and implementing improvements. Developing detailed layouts for equipment, processes, and workflow. Developing and implementing cost-saving measures and quality control systems. Ensuring manufacturing processes, equipment, and products comply with safety standards and legal regulations. Maintaining activity documentation and preparing reports.
