In this role you will have the opportunity to work directly with our clients and will work together with others at GVZ to provide exceptional client service. Responsibilities: In this role you will: · Prepare and/or review of income tax returns for businesses (1065/1120S) and individuals · Perform tax research and document conclusions as necessary · Provide proactive communication and timely service to our clients · Stay up to date on tax laws and compliance requirements · Organization of tax workpapers in a paperless environment · Prepare responses to tax notices and/or examinations · Collection of information from clients for preparation of tax return, may include in-person or virtual meetings with clients · Assist with tax planning and projection projects as assigned The ideal candidate will have: · 3+ years of experience in public accounting for Senior Accountant or 5+ years of experience for Manager · CPA license or ability to obtain CPA license · Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent · Experience with QuickBooks or other accounting software is a plus · Strong organization skills and ability to proactively communicate with others · Sense of initiative and willingness to learn and improve internal processes
