PRIMARY FUNCTIONS The primary functions include providing financial and operational leadership to the assigned facility, and for ensuring its financial integrity. Will be expected to understand the strategic and tactical planning, determine appropriate financial and operating metrics, and instill accountability throughout the facility, thereby ensuring a high level of performance in the industry. QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the Major Responsibilities, including the following: Responsible for all financial reporting, accounting, controls, audit and some assigned tax functions Manages and continuously improves a finance function at assigned locations Works with management planning process including the strategic plan, the tactical plan and budget and ensuring the execution of the tactical plan and budget Creates simple, nimble processes to capture timely, accurate, and relevant operating and financial metrics to be used for the tactical and strategic management of the company, including variance analysis Monitors the day-to-day financial activity and ensuring that the facility is on track to meet both short and long-term financial goals Manages cash flow Effectively communicates and collaborates with all stakeholders of the business: employees, customers, suppliers, auditors, equity investors and financial institutions Integrates manufacturing business units to realize synergies and efficiencies, implementing a single ERP solution across all business units, and supporting ongoing initiatives to drive growth and operational excellence across all business units Other duties as assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree (B. A. or B. S.) from a four-year college or university. Experience in the medical device industry is highly desirable. Verifiable track record of achievement in a finance position that strongly contributes to increasing enterprise value. Experienced and versatile using Microsoft Office Products including Excel. Prefer more than five years' experience of hands-on positions in finance and manufacturing operations. Demonstrated experience with a fact-based approach to decision making and will be a critical thinker whose strong teaming skills are matched by their ability to constructively challenge assumptions and influence others. Leader of both people and projects. The ability to conceptualize and implement tactical plans is critical. A clear track record of helping line leaders understand and improve their cost structures, increase their profitability, and capitalize on growth opportunities. LANGUAGE SKILLS: Excellent communication skills, including well developed written, interpersonal, presentation and negotiation abilities. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Experience with calculating cost of goods sold. Understanding of design, development, and marketing quotes and prices. Ability to solve practical mathematical problems using spreadsheets, calculators, and collaborations with engineering and finance. REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
