SUMMARY OF POSITION: The tenure-track marriage and family therapy assistant professor will teach and supervise seven graduate courses over the fall, January, and spring semesters. In addition, this position will advise in the MMFT programs and operate as a core faculty member in the MMFT Department. The position title will be Clinic Director, which will require the faculty member to oversee the clinical practicum experience in the program. The primary location of this position will be at the University Center Greenville, but the candidate will be expected to teach some courses in Spartanburg. ESSENTIAL DUTIES/ NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The marriage and family therapy assistant professor will teach two classes and supervise in the fall, supervise in the January term, and teach three courses in the spring. Summer supervision is available outside of the 9-month contract. The assistant professor will participate in faculty and other departmental meetings, such as accreditation meetings, serve on at least one campus committee starting in their second year and perform other duties as assigned by the Chair of the Marriage and Family Department . Priority will be given to applicants who can start June 1st, 2023. JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Doctorate in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related clinical field completed by August 1, 2023. AAMFT Approved Supervisor or Supervisor Candidate. Licensed or license eligible as a marriage and family therapist (LMFT) in SC. Evidence of commitment to and understanding social justice , diversity, affirming therapy care, and inclusion . Evidence of potential for success in teaching and scholarship. Diverse clinical experience Minimum qualifications: Doctorate in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related clinical field completed by August 1, 2023. AAMFT Approved Supervisor or Supervisor Candidate. Licensed or license-eligible as a marriage and family therapist (LMFT) in SC. Preferred Qualifications: Evidence of commitment to and understanding social justice , diversity, affirming therapy care, and inclusion .
