Myers Container needs a few Warehouse Associates at our facility on NE Killingsworth St in Portland, Oregon. Work is performed in a heavy manufacturing / production environment. Experience in warehouse, production, machine operator and/or in metal painting is desired. Candidate is required to pass a pre-employment drug screen, disclose criminal record, and join the Sheet Metal union upon hire. Overtime is required. RETENTION BONUS ELIGIBLE Machine Operator Duties Loads drums into trailers, loads drums onto pallets and shrink wraps Applies nuts, bolts, metal rings and metal plugs, and labels onto drums Sweeps trailers clean prior to loading Refills supplies in between orders Performs quality checks and complete quality paperwork Truck Loading Tasks: Loads drums into trailers, loads drums onto pallets and shrink wraps Ensures drum count is accurate and that trailers are loaded according to work instructions Checks packing slip for accuracy and completes paperwork Uses hand pallet jack and operates forklift Provides task guidance to general laborers Drum Machine Operator Tasks: Setups and operates or assists in operating various machines and equipment Moves parts as needed Performs daily preventative maintenance according to policy and procedures Performs daily housekeeping Performs inventory duties Uses hand pallet jack and operates forklift Requires : Constant standing, push/pull, lifting, etc. Standing for extended periods of time without being able to leave work area Pulling/Pushing frequent exertion of force Lifting frequent lifting up to 50 pounds Grasping constant picking up objects with fingers Reaching constant use of hands and arms to reach for objects Myers Container is an equal opportunity employer.
