Saint James Health is a Federally Qualified Health center established in 2015. We are hiring a family practice nurse practitioner. The Family Nurse Practitioner insures delivery of comprehensive health care in accordance with the philosophy, standard of practice, objectives and policies of Saint James Health. The Nurse Practitioner is responsible for diagnosis and treatment of common and chronic illness focusing on health promotion and disease prevention activities including patient education and counseling in Saint James Health Clinics. The FNP is aware of the philosophy, standards, objectives and policies of the Department and the Organization.The FNP role at SJH will focus heavily on pediatrics but the practitioner will also be seeing adults. Requirements · Participates in defining, maintaining and interpreting standards of nursing practice for patients of all ages but a large concentration on pediatric and gynecology.· Prescribes medications and treatments· Collaborates with other members of the team in the provision of regular health screening and other health promotion measures· Participates in special projects and committees Education/Qualifications: · BSN and MSN Graduate from an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program· License: Registered Nurse in New Jersey· Certification: Nurse Practitioner Certification· Minimum 2 years or nursing experience and one year as a Nurse Practitioner.· Demonstrated organizational, clinical, and interpersonal skills, as well as ability to problem solve using critical thinking· Demonstrated basic computer skills including typing proficiency.· Bilingual English-Spanish preferred but not required.
