We are looking for fun and athletic Seasonal Camp Counselors! Was your time playing on a team or getting together for a backyard game a cherished memory? Would you like to share your experiences and knowledge to make a real difference in the lives of those around you? As a Sport Camp Counselor you are responsible for the successful implementation and delivery of our sport camp activities, and you'll have a lot of fun doing it! Your patience and positive attitude will be legendary as you interact with staff members, parents, and kids. Job Status: Full-time, Seasonal Hours: 40 per week Benefits : Free YMCA Membership Participation in 403(B) Plan Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or GED required; Associates Degree preferred. Coursework or experience in sports management, recreation, physical education, childcare or education preferred. Experience with organized sports preferred. 1 -year experience working with children; in a day camp setting preferred. Ability to work effectively work with people of different backgrounds, abilities, opinions and perceptions At least 18 years of age Required: fingerprinting, medical clearance and immunizations CPR, First Aid, AED certifications and Child Abuse Prevention training within 30 days of hire date. Must receive ODJFS (Ohio Department of Job and Family Services) licensing certification within 30 days of hire.
