Warehouse/Inventory Specialist

SUMMARY: Direct the warehouse and inventory function of the company. Maintain a clean, safe, organized warehouse environment. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned as needed. Receive materials. This includes: Oversee and assist with unloading truck comparing packing list to ensure all material is accounted for perform a quality check select bin location (for container loads, this needs to be done in advance) turn packing slip into production control's office, noting the bin location. Serve as a material handler transporting materials from the warehouse to cutting & print departments. Monitor requisition on a continuous basis and supply the requested material to the floor. Obtain an understanding of our vendors and their products. Conduct monthly cycle counts to ensure accuracy of high volume materials. Conduct quarterly inventory audits to ensure proper quantities are recorded. Have a working knowledge of all warehouse-related systems and processes. Performs all computer functions necessary to support the role. QUALIFICATIONS : To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. EXPERIENCE: Minimum of two years warehouse/inventory experience. Skills: Strong communication skills Knowledge of Microsoft Office with proficient experience utilizing Excel. Demonstrated attention to detail capabilities. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals and ability to measure and determine proper location of accessories to the bags. REASONING ABILITY: Must have the ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written and oral form. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Forklift, reach truck, & pallet jack (electric & manual) license preferred but not required. (willing to acquire) Supply Chain Management preferred not required. (willing to acquire) PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
