The City of Pekin accepting applications for a full time Engineering Technician to work in our Engineering Department on everything from stormwater systems to major road construction projects. The Engineering Technician will work Monday - Friday with full time benefits including IMRF pension, health, dental, vision and life insurance as well as paid sick, personal and vacation time.The Engineering Technician provides overall engineering support to the City Engineer for all types of construction including inspections or rights of way, street openings, monitors sidewalk construction for ADA compliance, and ongoing construction projects. The Engineering Technician performs the duties of a Technical Inspector on IDOT and Federal-aid projects, including documentation.
