Description:
Lead team of CAD professionals in the tasks required to support the continuous flow of products as well as continuous improvement of processes. Manage the Product Data Management (PDM) system of Minimax Viking Research & Development GmbH (MVRD-US). RESPONSIBILITIES: Lead team of CAD designers to prioritize and complete CAD activities in support of New Product launch and product improvements. Manage the strategy and workflow of SolidWorks PDM system for US engineering configuration management Ensure implementation of workflow, procedures, and processes for US office of MVRD and related manufacturing entities. Management and publication of product data such as item master, part number, part description, supplier/vendor, vendor part number and description, unit of measure, cost, drawings, Models, and bills of materials Work directly with Technical Product Managers and other Internal Customers to schedule CAD activity. Ensure consistent product naming terminology throughout MVRD via procedures. Ownership of the Engineering Change process. Duties include chairing regular meetings, creation and maintenance of procedures, and ensuring all actions required are complete before final CAD data is released. Serve as MVRD-US administrator for Jira and Confluence system used for Engineering Change control, Project Management and other workflow initiatives. Support new product launch process by participation in periodic project review and drawing review meetings. Ownership of budget for supporting software. Hire, train and supervise CAD designers in core application skills and standards. Qualifications: 7 years of experience in CAD design and PDM 3-5 years minimum experience with SolidWorks and SolidWorks PDM Practical application of GD&T Demonstrated leadership experience within a design to manufacture environment.
