The Role The Human Resources Manager is responsible for all aspects of Human Resources, including employee training and development, employee & labor relations, talent management and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning in Central Texas Area. This role is the main HR point of contact and support to Local Plant Management and will be based out of our San Marcos Manufacturing facility located at 100 Thermon Dr. San Marcos , Texas 78666. The HR Manager provides support and guidance to HR generalists, management, and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise; administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations. As HR Manager, you will report to the Senior Human Resources Business Partner, Western Hemisphere located in Houston, Texas, will collaborate and work close with HR team promoting positive culture, collaboration, and high-performance work environment though progressive HR practices. What You Will Do Serves as primary point of contact to local management on a wide range of employee relations and other performance-related matters and assures proper documentation exists to support decision-making and recommends appropriate interventions such as training, mentoring, etc. Manage a team of two (2) people, HR Generalist and HR Assistant, both located onsite in San Marcos. Build and maintain credible relationships at all levels in the organization and serves as a main HR contact to directors and managers in the organization through trust, consistency, collaboration, effective communication, and results. Consults and coaches management in functional and operational personnel issues and development of tailor-made solutions to ensure the employee experience is best in class. Manages the site talent acquisition process, which includes position intake, job posting, recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants, particularly for managerial, exempt, and professional roles. Supports the implementation of the talent strategy, recruiting, onboarding, succession management, personnel planning, and resourcing for the respective area. Partners with HR colleagues and the business to project manage and execute annual HR programs and processes - talent reviews, performance management, including process preparation, manager support, calibration facilitation, change management initiatives, etc. Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough, and objective investigations. Coaches managers and employees to resolve employee relations issues, improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention, including creating and implementing coaching plans, making training recommendations, or other interventions as appropriate. Consults with the business on termination situations, promotions, or transfers. Analyzes data trends and metrics to inform business decisions; provide solutions for how key metrics can be influenced. Champion and model our core values, engraining them into the culture and the psyche of the organization. Provides full-service human resources support with a keen focus on employee experience. Continually challenge and evaluate the quality and effectiveness of HR programs and services and recommend changes as appropriate to meet business and local cultural needs. Develops and implements personnel policies and procedures. Coordinate with HR Leadership team to craft organization-wide strategies and objectives and overall personnel and cost budget, forecasting, planning and management. Manages the HRIS system (Workday) and employee records. Drive organizational and cultural change activities including providing advice on re-organization, re-deployment and exit strategies when required. Maintains knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation and ensures compliance, Identifies legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions. Assumes additional responsibilities and performs special projects as needed or directed. To be successful in this role you will possess Proven ability to lead teams through significant change management initiatives in a fast-paced environment. Blends people into teams and inspires them to perform; creates strong morale and spirit in his/her team. Excellent written and verbal communication skills . Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs. Advance excel is an asset. Ability to manage several complex projects simultaneously while working under pressure to meet deadlines. Confident, self-assured and optimistic about change management initiatives and ability to deliver superior results to the business. Unrelenting and passionate about driving a culture of accountability and effectively collaborating with managers and employees in the delivery of HR service levels. Committed to continuous improvement and tenacious in the pursuit of a goal. Demonstrated ability in driving business results and teaching management how to effectively partner with HR and develop their teams. Strong team building and communication skills and the proven ability to influence and manage change. Experience developing core HR policies, procedures and processes. High degree of sophistication and proven ability to deliver employee training and lead internal investigations. Experience working in a High Performing HR organization and able to quickly build and maintain trust while championing our values. Decisive, thorough, and timely when drawing conclusions and managing expectations. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Management, Business Administration, Industrial relations, or Human Resources is required. At least seven (7) years' of combined HR Generalist and HR Management is required. Life and Leadership Coaching and/or Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) would be considered an asset. knowledge of applicable country employment, local labor and compliance requirements. Strong business acumen, attention to detail, responsive, follow-up skills, and ability to influence and work with management and employees of all levels in a matrix organization. Experience in multi-site operations with the ability to travel up to 20%, mostly within area of responsibility (San Marcos and Austin-Texas).
