Elmer's Home Service in San Antonio, TX is currently hiring for a full-time Gypsum - Drywall Hanger to repair, replace, and install drywall for our customers. This construction position earns a competitive salary of $42,000+ per year , depending on qualifications, references, and the job interview. DAY-TO-DAY This full-time construction position typically works Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 or 7:00 PM , with some weekends as necessary. As a Gypsum - Drywall Hanger, you work on a variety of exciting construction projects and see the tangible results of your labor. On a daily basis, you are responsible for installing drywall sheets on walls and ceilings using fasteners such as nails and screws. You also tape and finish seams and corners. Using specialized trowels, you apply texture to drywall such as stippling and knockdown. You will also use patching compounds to replace entire sheets of drywall when necessary. Working together with your team, you ensure that projects are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
