Information regarding our schools can be found Here Position Overview: Our innovative special education resource specialist will be responsible for executing and implementing a rigorous college-prep curriculum that integrates technology and flexible use of space+time in order to deliver the right learning for students at the right moment. The teacher will also coach and mentor students through their quarterly performance task projects. In joining our team one can expect to learn from and push their colleagues, all of whom have a strong history of high student achievement. The teacher may also serve as an advisor that supports his/her advisory students to meeting our 6 yearly promotion requirements and creating a sense of community amongst this cohort for. As an advisor, this means building strong relationships and teamwork with the advisory and meeting with students on an individual basis. The teacher will be responsible for enforcing, with 100% consistency, our school-wide student code of conduct to create a safe and rigorous learning environment. Special Education Resource Specialists: We firmly believe that all students have the right to an excellent education; our Resource Specialists are crucial in ensuring all of our diverse learners have success in academics and in life. Resource specialists analyze data, create and implement behavior management programs as defined in the IEP, communicate with parents/guardians, collaborate with other teachers, and develop IEP goals and objectives that address students of all ability levels. Ednovate Resource Specialists support and deliver curriculum that ensures the growth of our various learners with rigor that will prepare them for post-secondary success. Our Special Education Resource Specialists: Modify and accommodate courses that are aligned to College and Career Readiness standard Develop a course that will improve the skills of their students Ensure mastery in subject area for all learners Modify, accommodate, develop and implement a rigorous, high-quality digital curriculum that is aligned with the College and Career Readiness Standards and Common Core Standards as they evolve. Embody our core mindsets as effective team members Deliver socio-emotional supports to students in advisory settings and ensure that advisees are meeting our annual promotion requirements Provide continual assessment of student progress and maintain records Continually evaluate instructional performance to meet the needs of the students Provide an effective environment that reflects and facilitates the academic program Routinely utilize instructional technology and optimize its instructional value Initiate and maintain open communication with parents and community members Ensure that all Special Education related laws and timelines are adhered to with 100% fidelity We're Looking For 2+ years of teaching experience with a strong record of improving student learning A BA or BS Degree A California Single Subject Teaching Credential (Preferred) or either an Out of State Teaching Credential or a clear path to receiving a teaching credential within a year. A growth mindset and an ability to remain adaptable to change Strong teamwork and positive communication skills Belief that all Ednovate students will succeed in college and make a Positive Multigenerational Change We're Committed To Giving You Our salary range for teachers starts at $60,000 and is commensurate with experience. This position is exempt and will follow an 11-month schedule.
