OVERVIEW OF JOB DUTIES : (See detailed Job Description for additional information) Maintains RFTA's inventory of parts, equipment, and supplies through purchasing, inventory control, receiving and storage. Responsible for ordering parts and supplies per RFTA procurement regulations. Researches and selects vendors, conducts bidding process of routine purchases, contacts approved vendors regarding purchase of parts, and arranges deliveries and shipments. JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS : Responsible for ordering parts and supplies per RFTA procurement regulations. Purchases items and services at the most favorable price consistent with quality, quantity, specification requirements, and other factors. Researches and selects vendors, conducts bidding process of routine purchases, contacts approved vendors regarding purchase of parts, and arranges deliveries and shipments. Forecasts usage of routine parts and places timely orders based on seasonal demand. Conducts periodic inventories; compares physical and computerized inventory lists of parts and supplies to monitor quantities. Consults with Vehicle Maintenance Staff regarding supply and orders. Acts as shipping and receiving for all of RFTA. QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB REQUIREMENTS: Solid knowledge of vehicle maintenance requirements and inventory management techniques. Advanced computer skills and data entry ability. Solid Ability to read, understand, and use parts manuals, and computer based maintenance information systems, parts manuals, service updates, and troubleshooting guides Solid computer skills and excellent ability to learn computer software skills, including Microsoft Suite, Trapeze EAM storekeeper, TransMan, Insite Veeder root, Cummins Quickserve, and CAT SIS. Training and certifications necessary to perform RFTA job duties. WORK SCHEDULE & LOCATION : The position schedule will be either Sunday to Wednesday or Wednesday to Saturday 7: 00 am-5:30 pm. Shift is scheduled daily at RFTA's Aspen Maintenance Facility, with daily deliveries as needed to Glenwood Springs and every other Wednesday will be spent working in Glenwood Springs. STARTING BASE SALARY : Starting salary range of b etween $22.56 and $31.58 per hour , based upon level of knowledge, skills, experience, and certifications received to date. Position includes full benefits package, including health, dental, vision, and life insurance, as well as employee ski pass or monetary equivalent, bus pass for spouse and dependents, housing opportunities, and RFTA's retirement plan.
