The registered/certified medical assistant is a member of a health care team, which includes, a provider, a behavioral health consultant, a licensed practice nurse (LPN), a medical assistant (MA) ,a care coordinator, and a patient service representative (PSR) that have been assigned a panel of patients. The MA position requires the ability to adapt to change as needed. This position requires maintaining patient confidentiality at all times while working with clinic providers and personnel to accomplish the goals and objectives of KTCH. The MA must possess great customer service skills as demonstrated by greeting patients and visitors pleasantly and effectively, should be able to provide clear instructions and show effective time management. Must maintain education requirements to sustain certification and attend continued education as required by supervisor, state or federal guidelines.**Katy Trail Community Health requires employees to be fully covid vaccinated. Minimum Qualifications: Possess high school diploma or equivalent.Possess Registered or Certified Medical Assistant Certificate in Missouri or have the 5 years educational, work or military experience necessary to complete certification.Possess current CPR certificationProduce documentation of appropriate phlebotomy skills.Possess basic keyboard skills and computer knowledge.Bilingual abilities encouraged.Must demonstrate accuracy, proficiency and efficiency from approved training program or documented skills.Must be able to see, hear, read, write, kneel, stand, sit and lift up to 50 lbs.Must be able to handle stressful situations.Possess cognitive skills necessary to understand medical terminology.Maintain professional appearance and attitude at all times.Must maintain patient confidentiality at all times.Must have the ability and means to travel on a flexible schedule as needed, proof of liability and property damage insurance on vehicle used is required.
