Description:
Performs all duties assigned by the Lead Deckhand. Assists Cabin and Maintenance crews as directed. Conducts regular rounds of the vessel to include cargo areas, passenger, and weather decks. Identifies and reports safety and security discrepancies. Performs cleaning, janitorial, and maintenance tasks. Provides customer service and assistance as needed (or requested). Performs basic seamanship tasks to include line handling, lookout watches, anchoring, and rescue boat deployment and recovery. Participates in safety/security drills and training, and responds to emergency conditions as directed. Assists the Mate and Lead Deckhand with loading and unloading cargo decks. Provides high level of customer service.
