First Rescue Ambulance of Irwindale, CA is hiring a full time Vehicle Service Technician. A Vehicle Service Technician is mainly responsible for: Washing Ambulances (Interior and Exterior) Creating a Detail Schedule for all ambulances to be detailed on a regular basis Stocking Ambulances for start of EMT's shift Taking ambulances for oil changes, tire changes and other maintenance Entering completed maintenance into tracking system This is a full-time position with the hours of 0400-1230Minimum requirements:High School Diploma or GED equivalentMaintain, on file, a current CA DMV Class C driver's licenseMaintain acceptable driving record by company auto insurance standardsMust have at least 2 years of driving experience and have reliable transportation to/from work locationsClearance of a physical exam, drug screen, and background check.Preferred requirements:1-3 years of general work experience required.1+ years of commercial driving experience preferred.An ability to work independently with little supervision.Language skills:Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.Duties and Responsibilities:Safely operate vehicles, including ambulances, in various locations throughout Southern California;Provide excellent customer service skills to both internal and external customers and clients;Maintain cleanliness of company vehicles, property, and equipment/inventory;Complete inventory requests, stock/re-stock suppliesPerform light maintenance duties and complete minor repairs to stations or equipment;Assist with maintaining minimum readiness standards in vehicles and station;Inspect and promptly report damage, deficiencies, safety issues, or other problems with ambulances, company vehicles, equipment, and supplies, or any other matters relevant to the safe, efficient, and proper operation of the company.Comply with all provisions of the Employee Policies and Procedures Manual, as well as all other company rules, regulations, directives, or instructions from supervisors;Other duties as requested or required by a supervisor or other member of the management team.
