POSITION OVERVIEW: The Co-Manufacturing Associate Manager will be the primary interface to Welch co-manufacturers and consolidators and will be responsible for administering co-manufacturing agreements, leading commercialization efforts and leading cost, quality and service improvement efforts at existing co-manufacturing and consolidating locations. The Co-Manufacturing Associate Manager will also assist the Co-Manufacturing Manager in the identification, assessment and selection of new co-manufacturing and consolidating locations and will assist in the development of contractual agreements. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: • Provide day to day management of existing co-manufacturers including administration of agreements • Monitor adherence to co-manufacturing agreements by both parties • Provide leadership of commercialization efforts at existing co-manufacturing locations• Develop and execute productivity, quality and service enhancing projects • Participate on Marketing Core Teams • Ensure protection of intellectual properties, processes, and formulations• Evaluate and enhance partnership relationships with key co-manufacturers for long term benefits• Facilitate dispute/issue resolution with co-manufacturers • Conduct periodic reviews/assessments of co-manufacturer performance • Develop and be responsible for budgets including expenditure approval• Participate in the continuous development of the Co-Manufacturing DepartmentSecondary responsibilities in support of Co-Manufacturing Manager• Support identification, assessment and selection of new co-manufacturing locations• Support make vs. buy and lowest landed cost analysis and sourcing decisions• Support agreement negotiations• Support strategic co-manufacturing network development• Support Co-Manufacturing process development and integration efforts PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENT Financial Performance• Variable and fixed cost budgeting accuracy and performance against budget• Year over year cost improvement (Productivity)• Working capital minimization – DOS inventory management Service Performance • Production service level, customer service level including; orders shipped complete, cases ordered/cases shipped, and out-of-stocks/customer disruption• Year over year service improvementQuality Performance • Year over year consumer complaint improvement• Zero special situations KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES REQUIRED: • Extensive knowledge and experience in all aspects of operations with a demonstrative skill set in manufacturing, logistics and quality• Excellent leadership skills with strong business acumen• People management skills including annual objective setting, coaching, and development.• Project managements skills• Ability to lead cross-functional teams through implementation projects• Strong interpersonal skills w/ ability to interact with all levels and functions of organizations on both an individual and team basis • Strong negotiating skills• Skilled in budgeting and knowledgeable of cost accounting principals• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities under pressure MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: • 5-7 years Manufacturing Line Management/Supervisory experience• 2-5 years Quality, Logistics or Engineering experience• Bachelors of Science degree or related experience Job Posted by ApplicantPro
