Boonsboro Country Club Job Title: Snack Shop EmployeeReports To: Executive Chef, Sous Chef , Snack Shop Manager Boonsboro Country Club is a family-oriented country club located in Lynchburg Virginia. Boonsboro is a beautiful club with a friendly and welcoming atmosphere where we provide premier service to our Members and Guests with a smile. We are seeking an energetic and outgoing employee to join our team. Must have prior culinary experience. Summary Responsible for assisting with all of club's food production and any activities consistent with kitchen operation. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Ensure member and guest satisfaction Ensure appropriate food preparation and readiness. Prepare and properly garnish all food orders in accordance with menu specifications Present food using presentation techniques in a timely manner. Coordinate completion of menu items Set up for meal periods by ensuring that stations are set up based upon anticipation volume in a timely fashion Ensure all food product is being handled and stored according to state laws and regulations. Responsible for maintaining appearance and cleanliness of kitchen, pool deck, and pool areas. Ensure all equipment is clean, meeting sanitation standards set forth by state laws and regulations and properly maintained Responsible for cleaning, stocking, and organizing food and beverage equipment, See that operating procedures are done in a safe manner, not endangering staff, members, guests, or themselves Represent Boonsboro Country Club with a positive and professional image Ensure that a quick and appropriate response is given regarding any negative comments from members and guests Responsible for attending all required meetings Always check with your supervisor before leaving the premises. Adhere to all various written standards of operations within Boonsboro Country Club policies and procedures Supervisory Responsibilities none Qualifications To perform this job successfully this individual must possess good communication skills, the ability to resolve problems, and be able to work within business demands. Experience in food service is preferred. Education and/or Experience Three to six months of culinary related experience is desired. Language Skills Ability to read, write, and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one, small group situations, and large group situations to members and guests and other employees within the organization as needed. Computer and Mathematical Skills none Physical Demands This job does demand that the employee be able to stand, walk, use hands and fingers, talk and hear. Physical demands may include lifting and moving objects of up to 75 pounds in weight. Work Environment The noise level is usually moderate. There is contact with slippery floors, stairs, hot objects, and sharp objects. Work Schedule All Snack Shop staff members are responsible for maintaining and tracking his/her personal work schedule via the staff schedule, as completed weekly by the Snack Shop Manager. Every individual on that schedule is responsible for personally checking the schedule to ensure correct attendance. All staff members are required to work a variety of shifts between the hours of 9:00 am to 8:00 pm. Compensation This position is an hourly position. Appearance Standards All staff members are responsible for representing Boonsboro Country Club in their performance, attitude, and appearance. The appropriate uniform is required to be worn at all times. Any other appearance standards set by management must be met as well.
