Salary: $15.75 - $20.56 Grade: 7 The Research Foundation for Mental Hygiene, Inc is seeking an hourly Student Camp Counselor. Student Camp Counselors for the "Camp Kidpower" study, a cognitive training intervention delivered to small groups of clinically anxious children, are needed to assist in administering activities and engaging one-on-one with pre-school-aged participants during camp sessions. Sessions will run for ~3 hours across ~5 Saturdays. Camp Counselors will receive training over ~2-3 two-hour sessions prior to camp, and supervision from a clinical expert. A functioning computer and access to internet will be needed for virtual trainings. The selected candidate should have flexibility with hours, as the majority of camp sessions take place on weekends. Duties and Responsibilities: Administer game-like intervention to groups of anxious preschoolers during "Camp Kidpower" (in-person.) Assist coordinators and Lead Camp Counselor in camp set-up/clean-up (in-person.) Participate in trainings to learn how to administer appropriate Kidpower intervention (both virtual and in-person.) Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent of 4 years of experience working with children under the age of 12. Minimum of 6 months experience working with children under 12. RFMH employees may be required to be vaccinated for COVID-19 depending on work location and must provide proof of vaccination. Individuals that are not vaccinated for COVID-19 are ineligible for appointment to positions that require vaccination. Fully vaccinated is defined as two (2) or more weeks since receiving either the second dose in a two-dose COVID-19 vaccination series (e.g., Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna) or the first and only dose of a single-dose vaccine (e.g., Johnson & Johnson [J&J]/Janssen).
