We sell, manage, and train our customers with a wide variety of products including but not limited to GPS Data Collection Systems, 3D GPS Machine Control, Drone data collection, File management systems, Modeling, takeoff, and civil design software using Trimble Business Center along with offering 3D modeling and takeoffs as a service to our customers. Job Summary The SITECH 3D & GPS Machine Control Modeler will be responsible for preparing 3-dimensional surface models and other related files for use with GPS Data Collection and Machine Control survey systems. Modelers should be familiar with Civil CAD applications as well as have fundamental knowledge of land surveying and Civil Design. Primary Duties Prepare 3D surface models for use with construction stakeout and machine guidance systems for a wide range of projects such as Site Developments, Gaswell Pads, Solar Farms, Heavy Highway Road Construction, Housing Developments, Stream Designs, Landfills, and more. Perform Takeoffs for Earthwork Quantities using CAD, PDF, or As-built Data. Maintain library of feature codes, templates and project files as needed Stay trained on the latest features and capabilities of various applications and new Technologies. Characteristics / Skills Capable of resolving a wide range of technical issues related to 3D data. Strong problem-solving aptitude required and must be very detail oriented. Demonstrates ability to learn new software & methods. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Interacts with senior internal and external personnel. Works with little instruction on day-to-day activities and general instruction on new assignments. Education / Experience Proficiency with AutoDesk Civil 3D, AutoCAD, Microstation, Trimble Business Center or comparable CAD software. Ability to read grading plans, road alignments, cross sections, site details, and boring reports.
