A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A SENIOR MECHANIC - TRANSMISSION EXPERT As a Senior Mechanic - Transmission Expert, you are a leader on our team who uses your deep knowledge of transmissions and general automotive repair to solve tough problems for our customers. When a customer brings in their car for repairs, you inspect the vehicle and diagnose the root cause of the issues. You then explain the technical diagnosis to the customer in terms they can understand, patiently answering any questions they might have. Then, you work with your team of technicians to perform the necessary repairs. Your specialty is removing and reinstalling transmission systems, but you also assist other technicians with a wide range of technical activities. You are constantly learning new information and keeping up with the latest techniques so that you can provide cutting-edge service for our customers. A strong communicator, you keep store management informed of any automotive repair problems that may occur so that we can work as a team to troubleshoot and resolve them efficiently. Your satisfaction comes from taking on challenging mechanical problems and working with an excellent team! QUALIFICATIONS FOR A SENIOR MECHANIC - TRANSMISSION EXPERT 5+ years of transmission experience Experience working in an automotive repair shop Knowledge of electrical and computer systems is a plus.
