Description:

JWCC is seeking part-time instructors in the Transportation Department. This position is primarily for night classes held throughout the year. JOB DESCRIPTION This course is designed to develop the basic skills needed by an entry-level truck driver. Responsibilities for the instructor include the "hands-on" portion of the Truck Driver Training program including vehicles inspections, maneuvering on the driving range (backing, shifting, other skills), and behind-the-wheel training in both city and highway environments. Additional opportunities may be available such as teaching day classes or at other John Wood facilities. QUALIFICATIONS High School/GED with three (3) years of experience in the trucking industry. Knowledge of the industry, practices, and regulations. Other required qualifications include: Licensed for three (3) consecutive years with a valid Class A CDL and no restrictions. Clean driving record Be able to obtain DOT Medical Examiner Certificate and pass DOT drug screen.
