Baillie Lumber's Sherburne Rip Line is looking to add a motivated Moulder Operator to join our team. Located in the beautiful Upstate, NY area we are a leading commercial finished hardwood manufacturer that is experiencing exponential growth, producing a variety of building products for numerous industry sectors. We are seeking a skilled Moulder Operator to fill a first shift full-time position within one of the country's leading hardwood conglomerates. Why join Baillie? The primary responsibility of a Moulder Operator is to efficiently and safely operate a new state of the art moulder in producing S4S blanks. An operator in this position is expected to work in a hands-on fashion, to take ownership of the quality and quantity of product produced during his/her shift and to be actively involved in continual process improvements. The successful employee in this position will be a self-starter receiving general supervision. Moulder Operator Responsibilities: Capable of working efficiently/safe as well as keeping a high level of precision is key to this position. Ability to work independently Measure dimensions of finished work pieces to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments, templates and fixtures. Sets up and operates moulder to plane, shape, and groove woodstock: Reads cutbill instructions and examines pattern shape to determine molder setup procedures and type of woodstock to be cut. Inspects stock being cut to determine defects. Adherence to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures Moulder Operator Must Have Skills Be 18 years of age or older Previous experience as a machine operator preferred. Moulder Operator experience a plus. Detail oriented with attention to exact measurements a must. Self-motivated, organized and able to multi-task Great attitude Willingness to work overtime Standing for long periods of time, bending and stooping Employment is contingent on successfully passing a and physical examination, including drug screening Baillie Lumber Co. is one of North America's largest hardwood lumber manufacturers, distributors and exporters.
