Position Summary The Assistant DC Manager reports to the General Manager of our Distribution Center located in Jacksonville, FL. The Assistant DC Manager will be responsible for all aspects of daily operations. The Assistant DC Manager & General Manager will work as a team and have joint responsibility for: Managing daily operations Hiring, staffing, and training warehouse staff and drivers Managing quality standards inside the four walls Achieving productivity, sales, and service targets Maintaining a safe work environment Building on our culture of respect, professionalism, integrity, and an overall great place to work Protecting company assets/insuring compliance with company policies in all activities As a team member you can also enjoy the following pay and benefits: Annual bonus potential of $15,000 paid quarterly Annual merit increase potential Employee Tire Discount Program Excellent health care coverage-medical, dental, and vision Paid vacation/sick time/company holidays 401(k) plan with Company match Employee Tire Discount Program Minimum Qualifications Prior experience working in a supervisory or management role in a distribution center/manufacturing environment or other operations role Bi-lingual Spanish/English speaking is preferred Must be willing to work flexible hours if needed Bachelor's degree in related field is preferred Experience with Oracle ERP or similar WMS software is desirable Experience & knowledge of inventory control Experience implementing Six Sigma, TQC, Kaizen, lean operating processes, or statistical process controls is a plus Experience with TMS software, RF/RFID software / hardware systems is a plus Experience with ISO documentation standards and/or general process flow documentation is a plus Experience in the tire or automotive industry is a plus Sumitomo Rubber North America, based in Rancho Cucamonga, California, is a leader in Ultra High Performance, Light Truck, Touring and All-Season vehicle tires and motorcycle tires developed and produced for a wide array of motorcycle, popular cars, trucks, off-road and crossover vehicles.
