Interlachen Country Club is seeking a Pool Lifeguard. Our lifeguard team provides a safe and enjoyable environment for our members at our pool during the summer months. We are looking for individuals with a background in lifeguarding, knowledge and training in safety, and a We believe in serving from the heart. Learn more about Interlachen and culture visiting us at workaticc.org Responsibilities and Expectations: Deliver first-class service to our member Recognize and respond proactively in emergencies Enforce all aquatic facility policies, rules, and regulations Inspect the facility on a daily basis and report any unsafe conditions or equipment to the supervisor Complete records and reports Participate in regular in-service training sessions and weekly meetings Exercise regularly to maintain fitness level (strength and endurance) Check patrons for appropriate identification and take appropriate action Complete additional duties as assigned by supervisor Perform water rescues, First Aid, and CPR/AED when necessary Ideal Qualifications and Attributes: Education and Experience Currently enrolled in High School, High School Diploma or equivalent experience ARC First Aid and CPR for the Professional Rescuer Lifeguard Certified An understanding of facility characteristics, rules, policies, and procedures Attributes Focused - Ability to pay attention to important details in an active environment Detail-Oriented - Take pride in maintaining a professional standard of work and a high level of accuracy Responsible - Ability to lead by example and make decisions on what is right and wrong Compassionate - Show kindness, sympathy and concern for your team and our members Outgoing - Act friendly, social and confident in your role and with our members Physical Requirements Balancing, stooping, reaching, standing, walking, lifting, grasping, talking, swimming, and hearing. Visual acuity to perform an activity where the task at hand is at or within arm's reach. Subject to both environmental conditions: activities occur both inside and outside including, but not limited to indoors, outdoors, service areas, and in a variety of weathers. Indoor office work may compromise less than 50% of work-time. Ability to lift up to 75-100 lbs.
